Global Clearing: AI Enablement & Design Standards

Overview

SVP, Lead Product Designer in Global Clearing at BNY, the world's largest custodian bank. Global Clearing supports post-trade activity across 100+ markets and clears $25T+ in notional value every day. I drive product design strategy for core clearing applications and lead the integration of Eliza, BNY's enterprise AI platform, with the UDS design system. Work samples are restricted under NDA and cannot be shown publicly.

Objectives

• Drive product design strategy and vision for Global Clearing's client and Operations applications
• Integrate Eliza with BNY's UDS design system so AI-generated applications are consistent and on-brand
• Lead AI enablement across Global Clearing and its Operations teams
• Align design direction with business goals and regulatory requirements

Approach & Activities

• Created an AI-readable version of the UDS standards that Eliza uses to generate on-brand applications
• Validated standards-based generation with Design, Product, and Engineering partners
• Delivered enablement sessions on design standards and usability, reaching 100+ people across Design, Product, Engineering, and Operations
• Ran cross-functional discovery workshops to map complex clearing and settlement workflows
• Scaled design system patterns across product teams
